For NBA Daily Fantasy Players hoping to dive right into the action on DraftKings or FanDuel, there are a plethora of players to insert in to your line-up on a daily basis.
However, the key like in any fantasy league is to find value in low-cost personnel with high upside.
This week, we will direct our attention to The Big Apple with
Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis
Porzingis currently costs just $6,800 on FanDuel despite yielding high-end numbers beyond projection. Porzingis burst onto the scene as a rookie revelation and has cemented himself as a key producer for the Knicks in their front court.
With Carmelo Anthony healthy at forward, the heat is now off Porzingis which affords him a chance to take advantage of one-on-one opportunities in the paint.
In the season so far, Porzingis has averaged 18.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in his first three games of the season, the big man would follow this up 3 points, 8 boards, 1 steal and 3 blocks against Houston accounting for 22 fantasy points.
With the Knicks looking at Chicago, Utah, Brooklyn and Boston the next four games, the deficient defenses on each of these teams will certainly afford Porzingis more opportunities to produce.
Porzingis has the makings to dominate
And with respect to the fact he has a true point guard to facilitate ball movement and create opportunities for himself, his output will continue to grow in the 2016-17 season.
While his salary is low, now is the time to grab him and milk the big man for all the production he can foster as undoubtedly the price for Kristaps Porzingis will soon be on the rise.
As we have highlighted previously, taking advantage of FanDuel’s slow moving salary algorithm yields dividends especially in scenarios like the NBA where players are on the hard wood two to three times per week at minimum.
