For Daily Fantasy Football Managers looking to find a potent player ready to proliferate above the numbers, we are always on the move looking to find players primed and ready to achieve above expectation.
This week we will head out to the Music City and focus our attention on a dynamic running back who plays for the Tennessee Titans.
His name is Derrick Henry
For those who are unfamiliar with Mr. Henry, he came to Tennessee in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft by way of Alabama.
Henry is a Heisman Trophy winner and he won a National Championship in his final game wearing Alabama Crimson. He was brought into Tennessee as a handcuff to incumbent starter DeMarco Murray who as we all know put up insane numbers in his days on the Dallas Cowboys.
Since his hey-day in Dallas, Murray’s numbers have taken a step back. However, Murray has resurged in 2016 but Henry has also come to the forefront after his a recent slew of dominant performances since Tennessee’s bye.
The Titans now feature a true one-two punch comprised of Murray and Henry.
This is absolutely imperative for the Titans as they are vying for a playoff berth by virtue of winning the AFC South.
The Titans are submerged in a dogfight for the division crown and they are undoubtedly one of the surprise teams of the 2016-17 NFL season.
Henry scored two touchdowns last Sunday and is definitely worth a look as flex play in any given fantasy match-up.
The Titans are committed to the running game, they have the horses in the barn and they have an excellent offensive line that gives their ponies a chance to gallop.
This is an outfit that defeated both Kansas City and Denver, two teams that pride themselves on stuffing the run. If the Titans win out they will continue on to win the AFC South and snag a home playoff game.
Henry will be up against a marginal Jaguars’ rush defense in his follow-up efforts and you have to like how he shapes up in this one. His ownership on daily fantasy sites is expected be in the single digits and with that being said there is plenty of value in Henry as he costs just $5,300 on FanDuel producing well above his projected numbers.
