For Daily Fantasy Football Managers looking to find a player producing above the numbers, we consistently mine the stats to find candidates achieving such accolades.
This week we will direct our attention to Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs
The 6’0, 191 lbs Minnesota Vikings wide-out has raised many eyebrows as of late and should also be in the crosshairs of many Daily Fantasy Football Managers for Week 3 as he is the 13th most productive player on FanDuel, season to date.
Diggs is coming in off a Week 2 gem against the Green Bay Packers, where he was targeted 11 teams and converted on those opportunities for 9 receptions. Diggs would also add 182 receiving yards and a touchdown to the tally, finishing with a 28.7 FDP day.
In the past two weeks, Diggs has converted 19 targets into 16 receptions and 285 yards in total
Diggs overall is averaging 21.2 FDP points per game but only costs the price of a mid-range producer at $6,300. In fact, Diggs’ price has gone down by $100 this past week due to prognostication the talented wide-out, maybe stymied by the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte.
Diggs should get his usual load of targets
However, Diggs will no longer have to contend with a corner like Josh Norman lying in the wings.
11 targets is the amount of opportunities we would normally see found with a wide-receiver that costs $2,000 more than Diggs, yet he is producing in every capacity like a WR1.
Diggs is the second most productive wide receiver on FanDuel
Diggs is currently behind Carolina’s Kelvin Benjamin who costs $1,500 more than Diggs and has only proliferated 2 more FDP this season. If you are in a season lead, Diggs is a must add at this point be that he has favorable match-ups from Week Four through Nine where he can emerge as one of the game’s primary playmakers.
In 2015, Diggs was targeted 84 times and turned this into 52 receptions for 720 yards and 4 touchdowns in just 13 games
Last year, Diggs was a rookie but he has come on for Minnesota as a bit of a revelation since there was no primary receiving threat until Stefon emerged.
